paintball is in a recession right now, along with the economy.

I'd typically be out and about, but the price, and my new hobby of collecting firearms has detracted from it

Hell with recession... I'm ignoring it. I'm not going to stop playing. I'm going to go out every month and not worry about the economy. Paint prices are up 2-5 dollars a case but gas is down 2 bucks a gallon from last summer. I'd say that's an improvement overall.

I live in the Orchards/Cascade park area. I'm new to paintballing and thought I'd just give a holler to all those in the Vancouver area. I'll probably be attending friday nights at xtremez very soon.

Big wrong!!! Splat Attack has not been closed once this year. They were closed in December a couple of times, like when it was so bad with snow, no one could really get around anyway.

And now, they have the shop there. With tourney guys practicing and scrimming there fairly regularly on Sundays, and stuff to get to help you out if you forgot something, they are a good place to go locally, without driving out in the middle of nowhere.

I guess Thursday at dbs, my friend is trying out for a team. I'll probably go with, and maybe play.

Im skeptical of teams in this area. I still believe making a team at WWU would be better.

If you are talking about Splat Attack, then yes. Both of the fields are speedball, I guess. One field is full of the inflatable bunkers, the other one is a bunch of buildings and stuff. Neither of them if really huge or anything, like maybe 200 feet long, and about half that wide.

I live in Vancouver, BC.

This year I was mostly playing at DBS Indoor when the weather got shitty, then it burned down :(

This coming 2010 season, I'll be out at CDR, KC Crusaders, and hopefully try out Splat Attack's airball (even though I've heard it sucks).

Splat Attack closed back at the end of August. The field is still open, but it is Mike's Paintball now (Check my sig). Yeah, the bunkers kinda suck, but hell, they aren't cheap. Well, the field that Splat and Militia went in and paid 50/50 for from Part Time Ninjas/Dangerzone, was cheap, even for the $750. After filling all of the bunkers, they all leaked. Really sucky. So unless there is enough business to actually buy a new set of bunkers, don't expect to see anything new anytime soon.
