Should I spend the extra 30 bucks to get an electric loader like the dye rotor or the halo? Does it make a big difference? I've played with a gravity fed hopper, it didn't chop any paint and the only problem is sometimes two balls are shot at once.

The two balls firing is due to bad detents on the marker you were using. It really depends on how fast you're going to shoot whether you need a force fed loader or not.

If it is a pump, don't worry about it, I use a primo on mine. If it is an electro, than most Definately its worth it.

um... the 30 extra bucks...... *cringe* you do realize new and used a rotor will not go for 30 bucks and mayyyybbee with the halo.....

I meant 30 dollars more than a decent gravity fed loader, like the proto primo. But I see what mean, I didn't realize the Dye rotor was 150 bucks .

Electric loaders are nice to have but you will be shooting much more paint. For you it sounds like a used halo too will work well. I have one and they work but I like my rotor better. My halo is really rough on paint for some reason.

Totally worth it, gravity feeds are only good for pumps. It's worth it to have a electronic hopper even if you have a spyder or tippmann.
