I shoot about 100 shots a game give or take, however I feel comfortable carrying double the paint that I think I'll use just to have that feeling that I'll never run out of paint mid game lol. Do you think it's more practical to carry a Sportshot and have a 100rd pod in a pod pack, or just use a regular Vl200 or Primo with no pod pack. All answers are appreciated, thanks.

Practicality has little to do with it. Preference is everything. What setup do you like most.

If I'm on a recball field I'm pressured to use more than 30 balls per round. So I opt for a small hopper. I always take an extra tube just in case.

Whatever's more comfortable for you, go for it.

I would just go for the primo, fill it once or twice a day and you're good.

I like the extra assurance.
There may be some games where I shoot 20-30 rounds, so the little 50 round hoppers would work just fine in that case. However, the very next game could force me to shoot 100 or so rounds before it ends. Since I hate using pods when I play pump, I would be SOL if I just kept using the 50 round hopper instead of a 200.
The extra capacity is like a condom; better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

i use a app 50 round and carry a 100 round in the pod loop on my eclipse pants and it makes me so light an mobile because i dont wear a pod pack.... ilove it, but if your pants dont have pod loops id say go with the smaller hopper and carry a pod..... i just cant stand a big ass hopper on my gun aha

I don't use more than 50 shots a game with my J2L (to be honest I can sometimes hit that with my phantom too :P) so what I like to do is bring my full pod pack into the field, put it on the sidelines/deadbox depending on the field layout, and in between games just grabbing a pod and topping off. Keeps me light and I can stay on the field forever.

Personally I like the smaller hoppers for bulk and weight benefits.

I run a sportshot on my Empire Sniper, and I prefer that over a primo/ 200 round hoppers. I like the small profile, and since I have auto trigger having extra paint gives me extra security that I can use it and not worry about running low on paint. However, you are more mobile without a podpack.

I use a sportshot and carry a single pod on the field.

I use a 3 pack and the second pod space is used by my tomahawk.
