how you guys setup your DM for best efficiency? calling all tinker/tuning guru's

hi guys just want some input from you tinker guru/freaks hehee. I want to know how you guys tune your DM's for best efficiency. i'm usually a stock kinda guy with minimal tuning so a simple step by step might be helpful here :)

edit: if you guys want a specific dm it'll be the DM12, don't think it matters tho but just incase.
