Agreed. Vmax is garbage.

Have either of you owned or even used one in play?

Had friends buy them. Cheap plastic and can't sustain 12.5 reliably. I'll pass.

halo's aren't that heavy compared to the rotor. get the Empire magna shell kit on ansegar for $5 thats what I did. vmaxs are terrrible until a nokio prop is inserted then it is acceptble.

its pretty bad.....why do you think even though they intially came out retail for $120 that they dropped to $40-$60. Its because everyone realized it sucked and they falsly advertied of the hopper being able to feed 30+ bps

it feeds at around 13 bps and does not go higher than that. if you ever see your self advancing in paintball, which you probably would because over time your fingers will get faster just by playing, you will find the vmax lacking but, the halo will still feed fast enough.

Can you just buy the shell and put the internals in, no other parts needed?

the kit comes with a longer batter harness to connect the board to the battery pack because the stock one in the halo is too short and a floor plate a lid, and the shell. Eveything you need comes in the shell kit except a screwdriver
