As far as weather goes, It's the same weekend as the event my school is hosting. Miraculously, the past 2 years I've gone to the event, it's always rained and been a little chilly for May. Here's to hoping that the "weather tradition" stays and that it's cooler at LL6!

On a side not, I'm not sure whether I want to buy a Hammer 7 or an extra camera for the event. Thoughts?

I dunno. I didn't hear good things about the Hammer 7 from refs at my field. Can't go wrong with extra cameras!

75% Marb, 25% Evil I believe. You will get a choice. Same Price.

Glad to know we can choose what to shoot. May get a case of marbs and a bag or two of evil for dinner and final battle for my pump

In my opinion based on years of experience with retail evil and marballizer, this is what I've found:

They were extremely comparable. I routinely went back and forth between Evil and Marballizer with my Tippmann, and later my Ion with no noticable difference. Interestingly, Marballizer is priced higher than Evil.

The biggest problem with Evil is that too many people don't draw a distinction between Evil (retail) and Ultra Evil (usually found at tournaments and not on shelves). Ultra Evil has a much more brittle shell and, a much thicker fill.

At Big Games, what I've found is RPS paint quality typically takes on characteristics of their next line down in terms of roundness and fragility. It's as if they reduce the QA to fulfill a higher volume order. In other words, big game paint has never held a candle to a retail box of the same line.

I didn't shoot regular paint last year but, I know there was quite an ordeal for most folks. Paint at Living Legends can be tricky- Trying to deliver large volumes of paint to an event where the weekend weather can vary significantly in regards to temperature and humidity. I think this years approach of offering two types of paint is the best solution.
Markers I shoot:
T9.1SD "Totmacher"| Woodstalker Ion MK-II | SP-1 W/Qloader
Reference Threads:
First Strike Field Listing |
External Ballistics Primer

My Axe shot the Evil wonderfully. I just wonder if Marbs would be a safer bet.

they use marbs, and they are quite nice, work in harsher guns but break on target well enough and fill not terrible

also all these peoples savin so much for living legends :S i spend sub 200 for entire thing, would say for anyone looking into it the prices of the scenario itself are quite reasonable, the travel etc is where alot of this cash is going, so dont shy away from looking into playing, especially if your local.

on a side note, my pistols shot the evil very nicely last year, no chops or issues with the balls at all, but i know they had some issues with some of the cases off the truck.
