No disruptive? It's a miracle...
Anyways,
I would check out the dye 09 knee pads on ANSgear. Also, the dye elbow pads are good. I would also grab a pair of slider shorts. My favorite are PE Overloads.

You guys got lucky, if he said he wanted tactical or milsim... Disruptive would be thrown around. But those are a good option if you're looking for nice quality 'Tactical' kneepads, such as the ones worn by the military and police. They are also very inexpensive, being 35 dollars, and are very comfortable due to the straps are on the top and bottom, not behind the knee where it can be annoying, as well as restricting to your movement.
But for solely paintball, Eclipse, Empire, and Dye are your best bet. The big three.
Eclipse Overload.
Empire Prevail.
Dye.

May I ask why you like Disruptive so much? Like honestly, I've had a few of their pants, and I basically threw them away after I bought my Dye's... Also, I can think of atleast five-ten barrels that are better than the disruptive. I would take CP over disruptive any day.

Ok editing now:
They're great quality products.
They're like the hidden oasis of good products, hidden and mostly unheard of, but a decently large brand; much larger than lurker or pooty, but not as big as Sly.
They have style in their products.
Very inexpensive, yet very good. The barrels I would say I would take over Custom Products if I had the immediate opportunity.
They make tons of apparel.

On topic please?
Don't try to skimp on the knee padding. But that doesn't mean you can't go out and get yourself some pretty cheap Empire Prevails. Eclipse Overload elbow pads are considered some of the best because they are contoured and molded so that it's natural form is bent, as your elbow normally is. This makes them a ton more comfortable and free.

I would prefer to own a Dye UL or a Freak anyday. You get what you pay for. By the way just saying porting is not the only factor in making a barrel quiet, the heavier the barrel the more it suppresses the sound signature and you forgot about resale value, disruptive barrels and products would probably sell incredibly cheap used because the majority of people like to buy products from a bigger comppany, not just a company based in Arizona or what ever state you keep talking about.
