New gopro 3 any tips/tricks ?

Hey guys, I just got in my new hero 3 for Christmas. Are there any tricks I should know before using it. I've got pretty much every mount, was probably going the barrel route. Any suggestions for mounting and tips for best quality footage? I'm mainly using it for airball. I was mainly wondering if anyone has put anything like a protective film over their case. To keep it from getting scratched and what not.
Do you live remotely close to East Tennessee?
Would you like to play airball for free at a BYOP field?

I just run the head strap and don't care if it gets hit. The case can take a beating.

Did you get the Black edition or the silver?


A tip it know how to start and stop your videos so you can just do a direct upload to YouTube without rendering and sacrificing video quality.
