so I have a question about pads. I have let my dad shoot me with my paintball gun out back of my house and neither of my parents like the welt and ring it leaves. Do you recommend wearing a chest protector such as this: http://www.ansgear.c...stprotector.htm
My parents like the sound of it.

I wouldn't like wearing an extra layer in the heat

Hits to the chest don't really bug me, but hits to the back i just haven't tolerated yet, so I picked up one of these http://www.ansgear.c...011proshirt.htm and i really like the way it feels on the field. really light and breathable. And gives the soft spots some extra coverage. You don't NEED it, but I think it'll be enough to convince your parents.
"So, how many feet per second can you get now?"
"You mean balls per second.."
"...Dammit."

Hey! I reviewed the proto rail. http://www.techpb.co...0

while they arnt really needed if it will make your parents more comfortable with you wearing it while you play then do it. I know a few ppl who wear them because their girlfriends dont like them coming home all bruised up. so they have their uses.

Thanks everyone. I will probably get the one I put in the link, from my local field. I don't mind being shot at all, just my parents don't like the welts so hopefully this will make them less noticeable.

I have one of the empires you linked and its pretty good. I don't use it a lot but you don't even notice it and its very breathable. It doesn't constrict you that mush at all and I would recommend it.
