Just bought a swirl vlm, I guess I'll be selling most of the parts I've been collecting for a while.

Contemplating on halfblocking my Freeflow-cocker..due to the damn backblock pissing me off severely... threads are stripped as wgp\chinese manufacturers figured it would be GREAT to use soft aluminum for the backblock..

Asshats!

Well.. It will still look awesome if I get it HB'ed.. MQ'ed and slap a karni-frame on it.

Avast my fellow Autocockerists! And I say fellow because I am once again a proud owner of such marker. I must be likened to Futch from Suikoden 1 and 2, a game that only I and maybe four other people on the planet have played. "But how KModZ? What makes you like the great Futch from Suikoden 1 and 2?" Well I will tell you anxious autocockerists. You see, in Suikoden 1, Futch, a loyal "Dragon Knight" is asked to leave after his dragon sacrifices itself to save Futch from falling from Gregminster castle. Now already I'm sure all of you are saying, "Yes KModZ we already know that, get to the point". Joshua, King of the Dragon Knights explains, without a dragon, Futch must venture off on his own. Enter Suikoden 2. Futch, with his quiet friend Humphrey find a baby dragon egg and Futch is whole again.

Now I was also an autocockerist, but I foolishly traded it for an engagement ring for my girlfriend (don't worry she doesn't go on TechPb) and I was lost, roaming the countryside for another marker. Then, when all hope was lost, the friend that I traded for the ring, let me buy back my own baby dragon. Now I can consider myself an autocockerist again.

P.S. I think the blue grips look terrible too, I didn't put them on.

See if acid customs will make you a new backblock, he made some eclipse back blocks not too long ago. If not at least midblock it.

Also, the vlm I just picked up...

Also, here's a really cool video I came across this morning. They filmed it inside aka's shop, you can see a bunch of viking, excal, merlin, and revenge bodies on the shelf.

I fear that a midblocking will look like shit on this body..due to the rail on the back..and the slotting needed :|
I don't want anything custom-made like that..as I DO NOT want to pay 200$ for a backblock... setting up the cnc's,work etc. costs a LOT of money. Then you'd need to get it anno-matched... Might aswell just cut it and be done with it.. I have access to a turn and lathe and everything else one might need to do things like this..the only thing I'm missing is the experience and knowledge on how to PROPERLY use them.. I do have collegues that DOES know their way around every machine here though... Hopefully they'll be able to help me out..

Anyone have any idea how long a typical HB-job would take?

John at acid made 5 back blocks at $60 plus shipping each last time. I'm sure you could get at least a few other people to order some, considering ff back blocks strip out pretty frequently.

Where exactly is that?

I guess from looking for the plunger oring I may have to buy a whole o-ring kit :(

R-M-I which freeflow do you have?

Halfblocking takes about 2hrs (two cuts really) but the bigger issue is getting the halfblock bolt and sled. If you use HMCL he makes his own.

Midblocking makes for a more stable bolt since the body's still tracking the whole length of the bolt. The bolt/sled for those is just the same as a 2k5+ black magic cocker.

any cocker o-ring kit should have the LPR plunger o-ring in it.
