These are the new internals for the 2013 Vanguard Demon, running on an operating pressure of only 90psi shooting @ 300fps, compared to 125psi before which even then was VERY smooth. Also, no more QEV which caused some issues in the old guns and to top it off the bolt is now sprung as well resulting in a MASSIVE reduction in FSDO and bolt stick, the gun will also be far less picky on lube. Two guns were made initially with these internals to ensure they worked and could see further testing. Both performed extremely well with over 60,000 shots being put through them at the CXBL and NPPL as well as over 100,000 shots in the factory. Citrus has received numerous testers and we've been told to abuse them as much as we possibly can. Run them with little lube, do no maintenance and see when issues begin to arise. The one of the first 2 testers was put through both CXBL E3 and the latest NPPL shooting over 30,000 shots and was lubed once.
As for the old Demons, if you send yours in this upgrade runs for $200 USD plus shipping, this is not a drop in upgrade the gun's body needs 2 additional air passages drilled in due to the removal of the QEV from the manifold. The retail of the Demon for 2013 will be going up to $1250 I believe so you'd be spending the money anyway to get your hands on this engine.
Citrus should have several of these new engines this weekend depending on a Fedex delivery tomorrow so if anyone reading this will be at the Wasaga big game and see's a fleet of orange and white Demons feel free to ask if you can try one out.
(I would have had this posted up much earlier but today is my 4th anniversary)
