Hey guys, this is my first post here:) Hello :) I'm not sure this is the right section to post this in, if not, i'm sorry :(

Anyways, in a few months my brother has a hockey tournament in Chicago. I'm planning on bringing my gear, and I'd like to know of the good fields in the Chicago area. Is famous CPX sports one of the best? Oh, and how will I be crossing the border both ways, I live in Canada, I'm not sure if thats something they would have a problem with?

Thanks guys!

Zay

CPX from what I heard is amazing.

I think as long as your tank is DOT sealed as well, and it's empty, I don't think you'd have a problem.
Maybe Canadians can help more than me.

As long as your tank has the DOT stamp(and has the reg off if you are flying),you should be good.

Just make sure If your flying don't use carry on for guns or tanks, (hoppers might be okay) and make sure your regulator is unscrewed from the tank

See now, if you're flying, it would be better to ship off the tank to a hotel or someplace where you are staying so you don't have to deal with taking the reg off.

CPX and Paintball Explosion are the two best fields in the Chicagoland area hands down

CPX is fun, but expensive and it does not have speedball
Never been to PBX but my friends went once and had an awful time, the paint they got was awful and the employees would do nothing about it.

My favorite by far is Fox Paintball in millington. The woodsball is fun, the speedball is fun, and the employees are awesome. Its also BYOP and is VERY cheap in comparison to the two before. Fox Paintball is the best IMO.

Honestly, if you've never been to CPX, you owe it to yourself to go at least once. The costs be damned.

Yeah, if it is a one time thing, just go to CPX, it is an experience no other field will have to offer. It is a lot of fun

We traveled to legends last year and got searched due to are token Australians gipsy passport. We declared are paintball equipment. If they ask you say it's a paintball "marker" not gun (that's a bad word to use) and tell them it doesn't shoot above 300fps. Also tell them that the air tank is empty (which it should be) and DOT/TC stamped. You will not have any problems. Have fun B)/>

CPX, PBE, and FOX are all good fields.

FOX- never been to this field. They are outdoors and have air ball and scenario. This place is pretty popular and the paint is cheap, in a good way.

CPX- Good fields and everything. It is fun but during the winter time it gets really cold which is why i play indoors at PBE. There paint is REALLY expensive. it is $90 a case of marbalizers and there is still a fee for admission. The fields are also far away from eachother so prepare to do a lot of walking.

PBE- I personally like PBE the best because the paint is cheaper ($55 cases on saturdays 5-10 and $65 cases on thursday 4-10. Only including airball but the paint is really good too). I have only had one bad experience with PBE paint and that was because i forgot to examine before leaving the proshop. If you open the paint in the proshop and discover bad paint they will allow you to switch it out for better paint.

ITS PBE NOT PBX. Well thats what i call paintball explosion. But ya paintball explosion is by far my favorite field due to the variety and that there is no wait time between speedball games. Another plus is that the area where you fill up on air and paint is literally right next to the field. PBE has best paint deal, nice fields, indoor speedball, and not a lot of walking.

I have played both PBE and CPX several times. PBE is a decent place, but I prefer CPX. It truly is a world-class. Try both and make your own decision.
