So ive been using nike land sharks since about 08 and finally they tore to hell the bottom soul came off and I recntly got a set of baseball cleats with metal spikes for free to play with.
my questions:
are they legal to use in tourneys ?
will they rip the bunkers
and how well do they work on turff ?

I really dont wanna spend money on buying new cleats ...

I'm pretty sure my local speedball fields doesn't allow metal cleats so i'm guessing they probably wont be allowed in tourneys..

Spikes work great on turf, but the can tear the shit out of things. I got scars all over my body to prove it.

I would just pick up another pair of Landsharks because they are pretty cheap nowadays.
I have and I always will be a Christian Baller.

Metal studs are used for soft ground to get more grip. Im guessing your playing on turf but thats really hard so it wont work great. I would recommend to buy different cleats

Metal has a good chance of puncturing airball bunkers, thats why they arent allowed. If you play on softer stuff and want solid spikes, get a hard plastic or something similar. I use rubber spiked cleats and they work well for everything while also giving great flexibility. When I had a pair of metal cleats a few years back for baseball they were very rigid.

most fields i have been to make a point of having a sign that says something along the lines of "no metal spiked cleats".
There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who think they can and those who think they can't. both of them are right.

Buy cheap track spikes and take the spike out of them.

A field around me says as long as they aren't metal cleats you can use them. I got a pair of land sharks at dick's for I think $45

They will ruin bunkers and turf. Also you will slip walking on concrete.

They work like sex but you can't use them. Try getting cleats that have metal supporting the "nub" those usually are solid.

all the local fields here especially the fields that hve turf fields, metal spiked cleats are not allowed. due to the damage they can cause to the turn and the air bunkers.
