Skirmish is a nice field, but the prices are outrageous. Really outrageous. They charge $100 for a case of DXS Blaze. Blaze retails at $40 a case (give or take). That's on top of the $35 entry fee.

If you have amazing amounts of money to blow, then it's a huge, fun field.
Gerber, Surefire, TOPS, and Cold Steel all suck the big one. Buy quality products, not junk. :-)

I agree with Sticktodrum, first field I went to, it is amazing, though really expensive. I think it's more like $75 per case.

Best in the country?! <_< Not even close man! Not even in PA! Any baller from PA will tell you That Skirmish sucks! Dont get me wrong, the fields are awsome and fun to play on. But The prices are RETARDED!!!! Most of the refs are dumb asses who spend most of there time day dreaming and looking at the sky or the ground than doing there job! Go play at EMR, Then try to tell us that Skirmish is the best... Sorry man, but you read too many of those Skirmish gas station brochures... I've played in back yards better than Skirmish

Really? Two years ago it was $70, damn that is expensive. But it is a worthwhile trip, massive field with very tactical, good woodsball play.

Totally agree with sticktodrum. Skirmish is fun as hell, but the pricing is absolutely ludacris. If you wanna play a game there go to Dday or something you'll get the whole skirmish experience there.

dude skirmish is alright not the best

Pros
Nice big feild
Nice Set ups
Fun to play

Cons
Overpriced
Crappy tech guys(yes they are horrible(espicially a little guy who looks sort of asian(worst tech ive ever met)
More then half of the people that play there wipe like crazy and never get out(ive shot a guy at least 12 times before seeing him walk out(and after passing the refs he turned around and got right back into the game))

Little bit of history.
The first four paintball fields in the World were opened in 1982. They were Survival New York run by Jerry Braun, Three Rivers by Debra Dion, Skirmish USA by Paul Fogel, and Strategy Plus by Jim Ioulo.
So Skirmish does hold a place in paintball history and deserves respect for that.

Having said that, I will also say that I have not been there since the WRG of '94 and refuse to go back. Since then, I've seen posts on the web that convince me that the problems they have now are the same issues I had with them at the time
(what? 16-18 years ago?).

<edit to add>
I didn't count Caleb Strong in that list of First Fields, but it wasn't an "official" thing he had going and not part of NSG.

Hey guys, here's a bit of info for everyone.

We offer tiered paint prices depending on how much paint you buy.

12 or more cases of paint = $74.00 per case
5 or more cases = $85.00 per case
Full Case = 2000 paintballs = $99.00
1000 paintballs = $50.00
500 paintballs = $35.00

Also, we usually have special paint pricing for big events like Stalingrad and ION.

All our info is right on our website. Is it more then other fields? Yes, however gun and goggle rentals are free. There's no extra hidden charge like at most other fields.

If anybody has any issues with Skirmish, it would be great if you'd tell management about it. Going on and on about it on forums isn't the way to get a problem changed. Call 1-800-SKIRMISH and drop us a line, or check out our website. Our main goal is to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for everyone to play in. Please let us know you're concerns.

I absolutely HATE LVP after playing at OXCC (just over pa border into md)

OXCC = a potential for 10 airball fields (normally have about 2 or 3 set up), 10$ admin 35$ case of rec sport or 40$ bronze. cant beat that.

Drop paint down to $50-65/case I will no doubt play there, and I'm sure the field will still make a huge profit, even maybe a bigger profit, because a higher volume of players will come there, and you would have to advertise that paint price as the selling point along with the huge/fun fields. And as far as "Hidden charges other fields have" wtf is that? Fields I go to I pay for case of paint, $40-60, Field fee/air, $15-25, then tax. Is tax the hidden charge?

Sorry but at $100 I don't see how you get any traffic, and if you do I'd be suprised to see the demographic you are serving too.

There's my $00.02, I will also relay this same info to Skirmish itself.
