I recently purchased the Valken Chainmail White jersey, pants, tank cover, as well as V-Force Grills Nightmare Edition from ANSgear. Links here

I was just doing some browsing and came across a forum, and was reading about how some guy dyed his mask orange and wasn't allowed to use it during tournament play, because the color scheme was too similar to the ref's. I am worried now that I won't be able to wear my new gear at local fields. Pure white really isn't a common color, most teams go with black, red, blue, green, etc.
I don't currently play in tournaments, I only play about once a month with some buddies in recball, but I do have all my own gear.
Would I be allowed to wear this? Or would the ref's not allow me to play, and I should return it?

Are some colors not allowed in recball/tournament play? Need help on colors that are not allowed.

Well orange I recall in the rulebooks of both the PSP and the NPPL to not be banned. The only color that's banned is the safety color, which is any form of yellow, because that's the color of the paint. I wear an orange headband and I used to roll orange Dye stuff for a while, and I was fine in the tournies.

For recball, anything is fine. In tounaments, yellow isn't allowed, and orange may not be allowed in some tournaments. At NPPL HB 2012, the refs were wearing orange masks, so I assume it wasn't allowed by players. If you aren't sure, give the people who are in charge of the tournament a call or email to clarify. Rules like that can vary from tournament to tournament.

Just read the rulebooks. And I was at Huntington Beach last year, just to spectate mostly (Our team did terrible, so we just watched), and I saw a few teams with orange jerseys or orange gear. Just no yellow, though. This year, only yellow is banned. Just download the rule books and check for safety/banned colors.
