Paintball
Tabor

Adrenaline
You can feel it pumping through your veins
You stare across the field watching…examining
You hear the ref call out “5 seconds!”
You count down in your head
5…4…3…2…1…..GO
You can hear the sound of the horn
You see the paint start flying
You rush to your bunker and start shooting
You see paint on your targets shirt…1 down
You next target presents its self…2 Down
Move Up
No more paint
You reload just as your next target rushes you
Three shots…Three hits…3 down
You watch as your team shoots the last 2 opponents
Game over
You Win
You can still feel it pumping through your veins
Adenaline

Picking a topic other than paintball might make it easier.

Paintball is one of the worst topics to do any sort of writing about.

I guess you could make it seem like a war but at the same time describe it like paintball.

adrenaline
feel the rush
crouched ready to run
the horn sounds
a surge
adrenaline
sprinting...heart pounding
paint flying past your head
diving into your spot...safe
show no fear
adrenaline
marker rolling...one down
stream of paint DUCK
too close... MOVE NOW
bunker on the run
adrenaline
the final push
last man standing
game won
feel the rush
adrenaline

this is what i got... hope it helps
Signs of Addiction to Paintball:
  • You walk anything you can get your fingers on
  • Its the only thing you can talk about
  • You spend more money on paintball than your girlfriend
  • You dont own a car but have an $1000+ marker
Public notice:
If you see a spyder, squish it.

Make a deep intelectual poem about how paintball is misunderstood and unnrecognized as a sport.

Now that I think about it, paintball is like the depressed emo kid of the sporting world.

Use a less existential topic and a more metaphorical one to write about.
Topics like honor, wrath, betrayal, uncertainty, and love are typically much easier to write about as they are not held down by any real sense of being. They offer a much more open interpretation to where you can go pretty much anywhere you want with it and still have it make some sort of sense.

Here's a few I wrote back in my poetry class in high school (Only the manliest of men take poetry classes ;) ). They're no Robert Frost, but perhaps they may still inspire you.

Well, they're at least good for inspiration the next time you need (or even want) to write some poetry.
