Virtue laser eyes can't hear clicking after install! Empire axe

I installed the virtue laser eyes(blue) for my empire axe the light comes on but I can't pull my trigger meaning it won't even shoot! I can't even hear the clicking sound it makes when you pull the trigger. It seems like the clicking thingy on the board is to short not tall like the stock eyes. Can someone help me?
