Then I remember, that's right, i have to have an order for over $100 worth of stuff, and it all has to qualify for free shipping, for me to get the "free" shipping

It's a little misleading.
But seriously, tell me you wouldn't be pissed off if you bought something for $20 but the shipping brought it up to $30. I'm not made of money, I had a job over the summer and now I'm trying to save as much of that as I can. It's especially hard during the holiday season, when you need to buy gifts for everyone.

Let's say you order a something from them the size of a car. Granted, they don't sell anything that large, but shipping a car costs hundreds of dollars, if not more, so they would not be willing to ship an order for free if the cost of shipping is more than the profit they will make on an item.
ANSgear has a business to run. They can't be willing to drop 10 bucks or more for every order out-of-pocket, that just won't end well. So what do they do? They'll offer free shipping on orders over 100 dollars to get you buy more from them, and then they have enough of a profit margin to throw in free shipping, and you might come back to them because they'll cover shipping. They sell more, you don't pay shipping, everybody wins.
You have to remember that ANSgear isn't run by magic paintball hamsters, they are people who need to pay bills just like us.

Nothing is forcing you to play paintball, and if you are tight on money, quit for a while. Buy the piece from a proshop, then you won't have to pay shipping. Or get a job year round and quit complaining.

just trying to blow off some steam from all the built up stress of senior year. Off of school now, so hopefully that stress will be less present.

Did you know that the more a company uses shipping, specially in larger batches they can/could actually get hefty discounts at the shipper. a 12 LBS package is really only like 35 shipped internationally. Which makes me wonder where they are pulling the 50-70 dollars from for shipping from.
But then again, there isn't much you can do about it and I don't order from ansgear anyway haha.
