Etha-$220
Fx-$280
I think they are both great deals but, i need help i prefer the spoolie design and the etha replicated that the most being a inline poppit and I like the small compact size of the Etha but, people say the shot quality is shit and and the Fx has a better shot and the OLED is very cool. I only have $280 to spend and I just sold my G4 and in need of a new gun. I DON'T WANT A AXE!!!! THEY ARE UGLY AND FEEL LIKE SHIT IN MY HANDS SO PLEASE DO NOT RECCOMEND ONE!!!!

Some locals I played with last time (like when the Etha came out) said the Etha felt different, you could feel it moving but it didn't really make a big difference.
Otherwise yeah buy the FX and flip for a Vice.

Then I would buy something worth $300.
But nobody wants to buy an Etha.

Shot quality-etha
Efficiency-fx (2 extra pods)
Sound-etha
Kick-same, etha vibrates less
Reliability-etha
Weight-wash, most likely fx
Trigger- fx
Grips- fx (wraparound rubber beats panels)
Asa-ethas is kinder on threads and comes straight out
End: etha
Also if you like spools, why not try to find the 2012 reflex rail used? It has great ergos and the shot is nice and quiet. Subpar efficiency though. Maybe 6 pods, closer to 5.5

Shot quality- About the same. Both have a small amount of vibration when you shoot. Neither really seem to bother me (or anyone else that I loaned the guns out to)
Effiency- Very close, but I'd say FX by a hair
Sound- out of the box, about the same; if you put a TechT Hush bolt in the FX, it becomes noticeably quieter
kick- They're electropneumatic paintball guns, not cannons, damnit
reliability- Etha would probably take more abuse; but both would be fine given relatively routine maintenance
weight- Hard to tell
overall better gun- depends on what you're looking for: if you want something reasonably reliable that you can adjust to your own preference, the FX is the better of the two. IF you want a bulletproof design that is better lubed up and then left alone, get the Etha.
