Well disappointed they didn't use them in a myth and the face protection was a little lacking. Oh well

They have used the G6R before, on multiple episodes if I'm not mistaken.

they used a SP1 for an accuracy test, but (obviously) pointed out paintballs are inheritantly inaccurate.

They've used the G6Rs in at least two episodes that I remember. The first one they were used as remote controlled gun turrets on a "spy car" episode, and the second time they used them to shoot a paintball in time with when a sniper's bullet would hit the target to see if you could dodge a bullet if you saw the muzzle flash from the rifle.

Why spend the money on one?Did they think it would be more accurate?

well they make alot of money from the show. so if one wanted to get into paintball they probably asked the guy at the shop for the most expensive marker they had, now it's just kicking around one of their garages and it comes out for paintball tests every once in a while.

I think the reason they bought the G6r is that Adam and possibly Jamie actually like paintball. Therefore why not get super nice markers if you can lol.

If that is the case, then perhaps someone should try and get them to come out and play in a local event. Forget the Shatnerball of the past, here comes Mythbusters-ball.
