TechPB and PunkWorks is excited to announce a new contest. This is a rate of fire (ROF) or ball per second (bps) contest. It's open to anyone with a fast gun and a video camera.

There are 5 official catagories: open (anything goes), RT mechanical guns, non-RT mechanical guns, AT pumps and non-AT pumps. We also will challenge stock class pumpers to prove that they're a Stock Class Bad Ass by submitting a video of their best stock class ROF.

Rules:

1. No breaks / chops
2. You must provide at least 1 full second of shooting to be considered
3. You must include a handwritten piece of paper with your TechPB user name and the word "TechPB"
4. You must provide a video that captures the gun AND the stream of paint downrange
5. Gun must be shooting between 250 and 300 fps.
6. Must use Paintballs. Reballs are not allowed.
7. You must link to this thread in the description of your video and post your video or a link to your video here to enter.

Suggestions:
o More video is better
o The audio track needs to be clean. If we can't goldwave it, it doesn't count.
o Tell us about your rig

The main prize is bragging rights - and the right to display the "TechPB Speed King" badge in your signature. The first round of winners will be announced November 1st. After that new entries will be judged as quickly as possible and new winners announced immdiatly. CockerPunk and brycelarson will be the official judges. There will be prize packages for the first round of winners.

So, for us with guns with 57 firing modes, can we submit using Full-Auto?

And not having a Chrono at home will make that part difficult.

Is there a direct relation between velocity and rate of fire? Just curious on the reason for the Chrono.

Thanks, and great idea!

Damn. Given about two more weeks instead of one I might have had the mechanical badge locked down. Still having problems with what I've got right now. Lucky for the rest of you guys dry firing doesn't count.

When does the contest close? Also, if i don't have a chrono does it matter? And is there a minimum/maximum to how much you shoot?

Question 1: What category would people with e-grips on Tippmann's be in if it's set to semi? Would it be RT Mechanical or Mechanical?

Question 2: Can people enter in more than 1 category?

That would be electronic

Yes, as long as your entry is valid you can enter as much as you like.
