I am going to be reffing for the first time at one of my local Scenario games. I am supposed to be the chrono ref and Hospital ref. Is there anything special I should bring? The field owner recommended a Camel-Pack. Should I bring that or anything else in particular. It will be a 26 hour scenario game and it will be so much fun to help with! (My first time reffing, and my first job, because I'm 13)

DO NOT BRING A KNIFE ON THE FIELD. PERIOD.

Thats' a great way to get kicked off. if you need to cut something, bring a pair of scissors. NOT a knife.

Yeah I'm not sure why people keep suggesting that. You aren't allowed to bring any knives or tools onto the field according to the Viper Rulebook......

Local scenario, not a Viper game. Also, he'd be reffing, not playing. I could see it both ways on the knife, might need to cut tapelines/flaglines, netting for ropes etc. I've seen knives on scenario fields for staff. Ask your field owner, done. Not a big deal.

Other stuff- water, water, and water, for both you and others. Some kind of small food (granola bar or something) if any players go down. If you're going to be in the field of play at all, all your pads; refs get shot more than players, maybe even a riotshield kind of thing if you need to be in a paint-rich environment. Also, if you aren't being provided lunch, bring lunch. Also, ask your field owner about a radio, they might have them for you or you might need to bring one.
Who am I, what am I, and what do I do? I'm a Christian, I'm a Gator, and I'm a drummer.

bring some extra pens, sharpies, bug spray, sunblock

maybe a pouch of baby wipes can come in handy too, both for the porto-potty and if your hands & face get really dirty

Whatever you feel YOU need.&nbsp; You asked the owner and that is the person who should know best.&nbsp; Anything you take beyond that should be taken care of by the field.&nbsp; Let them supply the allens, radio, and the rags.<br>
