Geo3 solenoid adjustment wheel coming loose

When I was playing around with a friends new Geo3 the other day the adjustment wheel just came loose when i wanted to pull out the hex key, is there some kind of trick to make it more snug, so he won't have to hold it in with his finger when adjusting the solenoid speed knob.
