No. Save up for something better. Ions are garbage and i wouldn't buy one for $25.. Tank is about $50 new, probably $25-30 used. CP trigger is worth about $20, eggy probably $30.. If brand most brand new which i judged my other post on, maybe $200. All that used for $175 isn't worth it imo. I could be wrong on prices of ions thought.

ions are great markers. They pretty much started the trend of cheap, good guns.
they are a pain to take apart and clean, but they are super fun to play around with.

After putting the money into new parts, you'd be in deep enough to have just bought a different marker. Buy an eNVy or a Vibe, they are "cheaper" Ions with bolt-out-back and a decent feedneck stock, and they almost never chop. They just shoot a bit slower, but not any slower than you would realistically be shooting in a recreational game.

If you are getting it as a "project gun" or a gun you can just goof around with at the field or in your back yard, then its a good gun.
if this is going to be your primary marker, you might be better off just looking for something else. $75 is a decent price, but if you're going to spend a bunch of money to make it your primary marker, you should just spend your money elsewhere on a better gun.

i think an ion's strong suit is that you can pretty much upgrade it to your hearts desire, but in the end, that should be something you do for fun because at the end of it all, its still an ion.
