how much paint do you think you use in a 3 man tourny?

Depends on how competitive you are feeling and how far you go into the tourney. If it's a beginners tournament, I'd say probably two bags, maybe a little more. For a more competitive tournament, I usually go through three bags to a case, plus a little more if we make it to finals.

The money was the main reason I got into pump, but I ended up having more fun so I just kept with it.

You have officially converted me to pump.I used my friend's kaos pump and loved it.I recently bought a pump kit for my 'cocker off of ANSGEAR and cannot wait for it to get here!

The field I go to doesn't rent pumps, and no one there plays pump. Since I cannot try pump before buying one, would it be a bad idea to buy an open class Phantom without having tried pump first?

The phantom isn't a bad choice for stock class. You can get them for pretty cheap.

No one at my field played pump either so i went for it and bought a used KP and i love pump so far
