About a plane crash in Alaska and the survivors are hunted down by Grey wolves. It's actually really realistic and the plot is really good. Very philosophical.

Anyone seen Red Tails? I haven't, but I hate it. First, dubstep? In a WW2 movie? Are you fucking kidding me? And then the actors. I'm no historian, but I'm pretty sure they didn't speak in ebonics in the 40s. And the worst part, that stupid scene at the end if the commercial. They're in a huddle, doing some pump-up chants or some shit, WTF? When did I start watching "Generic High School Football Movie 9001"? Fuck that movie.

It's called catering to your audience. I don't think anybody would watch it if the spoke historically. Outdated slang is fun to decipher just not in a movie.

What? Yes they would. If the pack is large enough, and they're all hungry, or territorial enough, it's perfectly reasonable to think that wolves would attack.

I thought the ending was decent there have been a thousand movies were the plane came and everyone was happy, so him fighting the wolf was not enough closure for me but as said above it wasnt the ending I expected and I will give it credit for that. And the middle just seemed like the same thing over and over again, walk, wolf attack, fire repeat. Just my opinion. Oh and also when they crossed the cliff how the heck did the wolves just constantly just cross it something tells me that wolves wouldnt be able to jump across lol

I thought it was a good movie.

The ending was perfect for the movie. The entire movie, the survivors thought they were heading to civilization, and away from the wolves, but they were actually heading right to it. It was ironic, is what it was. As much as I would have loved to see the fight seen between Neeson (Ottway), and the alpha wolf, there's no way in real life, that he would have survived. Ottway was in the den, and even if he killed the alpha male, there's not a chance that he could've escaped the 10+ wolves surrounding him. Maybe in a child's movie, the wolves would've backed down or something, but, come on, never in reality.

As for the middle of the movie, just like in all movies, it's supposed to get you to connect to the characters, to get to know them as humans, and not just as grunts in a flick. I thought The Grey did a good job at that.

The cliff scene was predictable, but it didn't make it any less suspenseful. Wolves are smart, and considering the survivors were in wolf territory, I'd guess that the wolves knew that cliff, and a way down it.

What? Yes they would. If the pack is large enough, and they're all hungry, or territorial enough, it's perfectly reasonable to think that wolves would attack.

A wolf would have to be starving, on the verge of death or severely threatened before it would attack a person. We have 'taught' them to fear humans.

A wolf? Sure. However, the movie, and that which I am talking about, is a pack of wolves. A pack will act very differently from a single wolf. If you go back to my post, you'll see that I am not talking about how a single wolf would act.
