22 Guns! Give or take about 2 Years after my first trade.
That is how long it took me to find what I finally liked. I am now set, I have a Spool and a Poppit. Both made by my Favorite Company!

How long did it take for you to find out what you liked best?

At the time, I had owned basically just about all of the modern high end markers, and most of the mid range. Making a list of all those guns would be tedious, and unnecessary. Being that I havent shot all the markers made, I cant say if I ever found "the one," but the Cyborg RX is most certainly my all time favorite, with the Quest right behind it.

Since I havent had much money extra to spend after playing I've only had 5 total guns in the 3-4 years I've been playing. 3 of them I have acquired in the last 2 months. Because of that I pretty much only buy guns I'm pretty sure I'm going to like. I plan on trading a lot once I've had my alien for a couple months though.

Kevin, it might be because 85 of those guns were made by Brass Eagle. :P

I have a slight feeling this is true.

Now me, at 45+ I have the Geo2 on number one right now, but there will be something better, I know it.
Sold my Geo2 late 2011 though, had only had a Shocker SFT since that. And for the most part in 2011 I only had that Geo and an Ego11.

I guess my whoring days are over.

I'm close to 60 markers in a two to three year time span. I probably found out at around 20 that I was becoming a real gun whore and knew things were getting out of hand when I reached 50.

Some warning signs I've noticed?

1) If you have a marker sold or traded before it's even in your hands... you might be a gunwhore.
2) If you get a new marker in the mail for every day of the week... you might be a gunwhore.
3) If the post office knows you by your full name, and knows you always use USPS priority, tracked and insured... you might be a gunwhore.
4) if you know how to take apart every marker and put it back together without breaking something... you might be a gunwhore.
5) if you have a new marker every weekend you're at the field... you might be a gunwhore.
6) if you have a tab of Pbnation bst, mcb bst, techpb bst, craigslist, and ebay open all at the same time... you might be a gunwhore.
These are all things that relate to me and I could do this all day

Started in 89, the game keeps evolving. Been over 50 guns for sure, own 3 now.

sft
half block pump
dm

Don't think there is a 1. I'll keep this sft for a couple more years for sure, got to have a pump or else some days they won't let you play. The dm will get traded in on something newer.

I've been hopping around in the sub $500 price bracket (haven't purchased an axe yet, don't really want to, don't like the grip) I really want to make the jump to high ends but funds are thin and I'd rather keep playing vs save up for a more expensive marker that I don't really need. Once summer starts up I can get a job and scrap for a couple bucks. Right now I got my heart set on a Clone GT, and sell the etek. I'm gonna keep my protege, though, it's probably the one stack tube poppet I've shot and liked, Liked how it shot better than a CSL, as crazy as that sounds. So I guess newer timmies would be my "one" as far as stacked tubes go. Other than that, gotta keep looking.

I'm currently at 10 markers over 3 years of playing. The Geo2 holds my top spot for now but the Victory is closing in. We will see once summer hits and I can put this gun to the test, also plan on getting the new spool engine and trying that.

Since day one and first marker I have always opted for a single tube marker. Weather that be a Nelson based pump or a Tippmann inline blowback or a AGD Automag or a spoolie electro. I have tried many different markers but single tubed stuff just feels right to me. The only stacked tube gun I ever liked and bought has been the PGP I picked up new way back.

I lucky I have 4 THE ONE markers. The ones that fit me perfect I smile every time I pull the trigger and will NEVER let go of. A Classic Mag, RT ULE Custom Automag, Tippmann Pro/Carbine, Tippmann SL-68II.

Found the one I love. Everything about it I enjoy.

Definitely a Bob Long shooter..

I thought I could never find "that marker" to replace my Ebolt 98 Custom, but it took me nearly 8 years but I found "that one" and it is my G6R... it feels so nice in my tiny little hands and it is so comfortable for me to shoot.

My list is somewhat less spectacular than some others, but here goes...

piranha
Spyder e-trigger of some sort (whatever the original e-spyder was)
Tippmann a5
Delta 68
2k4 Viking*
Palmer Hound's Tooth pump*
pre-2k PGP
Tippmann X7 (to be fair, I "won" this at a scenario so I didn't actually try to get it)
Airow Gun Bow
Tiberius 8*
TM7
Empire Trracer*
Etha*

The * denotes that I still have it in my collection, for whatever reason or another.

And this doesn't count the markers that came into my possession for other reasons (such as my old team's tank). Just ones that I actively owned/used.
