So can I use an empire pump with my rotor? I'm a little confused.

You can. However we'd prefer it if you'd use a 50 round hopper or something of the sort. This is designed to be a game that isn't focused around throwing hundreds of rounds of paint, instead focusing on limited paint and strategizing. Our team is switching to Mag-Fed, but we decided we'd host this game as a sort of Pump/Pistol/Mag Fed day, after a lot of fields have told us to try next year to set up an event (which we will, so keep your eyes open for that).
