NT10 shoot pretty smooth but are unreliable, ego 9's are reliable(like all egos) but IMHO, they shoot terribly.
you could also look for a luxe 1 or geo

The fact that Bob Long changed so little from the Vice to the G6R should tell you that it is really well designed. NT aren't bad markers but they tend to have some issues from what I've seen, they need to be very carefully tuned and for some reason I don't find them to be as smooth as I was told they would be (or at least the one a fellow TechPB'er let me use wasn't). I think the Ego 9 is about equal to the Vice (though I honestly prefer my Vice) and I have a LOT of experience with two of my friends' Ego 9's. The only think I prefer about both the Ego and the NT (especially the NT) is the ergonomics, with the Tadao OLED's panel grips you really don't have any sort of grip and I tend to prefer wrap-arounds. My only other complaint is the lack of an on-off ASA, other than that, the Vice smokes anything in the sub $650 price range IMO.
I also second looking into a Creed, for a while I was looking into them as well but a lot of folks wanted too much for them and the Vice sort of fell into my lap. The color OLED is awesome, packaging is top notch, you get a barrel kit and when tuned properly they are supposed to be incredibly smooth.

You really don't know the Luxe market then... I have been looking for a Luxe for quite some time and looked over 100 threads and the lowest I found someone asking for one was literally 700 and that was a stock Luxe 1.0... I just bought one with a few hundred dollars in upgrades and payed 825$ for it... Luxes have come up in value again I am suspecting it's because Houston Heat have been using them making them more popular. They are much more desirable markers again for sure... Also I sold my previous Luxe for 650$ and that's super cheap these days...
If you want a Luxe with any sort of upgrades on it now of days, you will pay 750$ or so but if you want a bone stock Luxe, you may be able to squeeze 625$ for one.
500$ is just unbelievable and that's what paintball pawn shops pay for it.
