In rookie tournaments, buy 2 cases per person. If you make it to finals, buy 1 more case per person.
Whatever's left over, save it for practice next week.

what if he plays 7 man or 5 man? as a back i've dropped 7 pods in one game (yes rookie division)

Paint is usually $50-$65 and expect to buy 1-2 cases if you pool paint or 2-4 cases if you're on your own and are a Back player.
