yah, So when you click on it it says "JUST KIDDING!
I just got this email from "Mike" I guess. lol has anyone gotten this email ? IT seems fake because it is coming from an Email I doubt he would use. [asdf@asdf.com] Come on ASDF @ASDF.com? It sounds like a spam bot. Not to mention in the email "mike" states that a "players section" will be soon if I paypaled $30 to techpb. hmm sounds sketchy for these reasons...
1.Mike would never ask for money directly like this. He would just say I don't mind donations or if you would like please donate.
2.We never heard of this in site news, Why would everyone get an email about this first?
3.The email address.
4.The odd "joking" title. Sounds kinda unprofessional and Mike would just say something like the features in the title.
What do you guys think? IS there a way that there is any legit info in this? The players club if true sounds pretty sick IF it were true and the info on it looks like it was very well thought up. I need confirmation from Techpb staff please.
Here is the email...
Dear A.Tech,
hahahah JUST KIDDING!!! NO YOU ARE NOT BANNED!!!
Thats what happens when you give me full admin access, I kick the bot of the chatroom, I joke and tell people they are banned, sorry I need to get more sleep....
Whew! What a week at World Cup! Never in the history of paintball, has a tradeshow been so extensively covered as we did here at TechPB, and you saw everything before anyone else did! TechPB was the undisputed place to be for 2008 PSP World Cup coverage! We hope you are as happy with the coverage as we are, we did this for you!!
Since we launched the forum, everyone has been asking about a Buy, Sell, Trade section for the forum. Coming from someone who has been ripped off numerous times on other sites, I wanted to create the safest place to BST your paintball gear on the internet. After months of developing and discussing, TechPB is proud to launch "The Players Club", a place where verified users of TechPB can come and buy, sell and trade their equipment!
Joining TechPB's Players Club, here is what you will get-
1) One free TechPB Shirt in any size you prefer
2) Telephone Technical Support (yes, if you have a question, Gavin, Willie, or Mike will call you!)
3) 10% off anything in the upcoming TechPB Store, in the TechPB Forum Store, or the TechPB Ebay Store
4) 50% off any TechPB Licensed Apparel <-- TechPB shirts that we sell for $25, you get for $12.50!
5) All transactions in the forums are protected up to $200 by TechPB's "Scam Guard" Insurance. (details coming soon on Scam Guard Insurance)
6) Ability to apply for upcoming TechPB Sponsorships with access to the hottest paint, gun, and apparel deals!
7) Your donation is what will allow TechPB to continue to grow as the fastest growing paintball website on the planet!!
8) Access to our new Buy Sell Trade Forum, where you can safely trade with other verified members of the TechPB Players Club
9) Your Group under your screen name will reflect "Players Club" in Gold Letters
To become a member of the "Players Club" and get access to TechPB's new BST Section, here is what you do-
Step 1) Paypal $30 to techpb.donate@gmail.com Step 2) Include your TechPB User Name in the payment, or send it seperately in a seperate email Step 3) Include your shirt size
Please allow 24 hours for Jennifer to process your payment, and update your status. We're putting goodies in there as we speak! Send me an email to techpb.donate@gmail.com if you have any questions. Have a safe Halloween, thanks again A.Tech for your support!!!!

1. mike would ask for $$- it would add more safety, users can't just log in and scam someone. plus the amount of $$ this it must take to keep techpb running has got to be up there
2. Sending it directly to us adds a bit more exclusivity, and the element of surprise maybe?
3. tbh, i just saw the email address...but it could be because he used a bot to send out such a large amount of emails
4. its halloween, and i get the feeling that mike likes to joke around...plus with new twins, cup, and techpb i really doubt he's had any sleep lately
now don't get me wrong, i'm not stupid...i'm not gonna donate until i hear something about it here on the forum. but perhaps this is why it has taken them so long for the 'bst' to go live

If you ask me I am sure there would be an update here at the forums about it rather than just emailing certain people. Anyway lets get a moderator or Mike himself to let us know about this email.
Edit: I take that back, it is on the front of TechPB... I never go to the home site, always straight to the forum.
