i am looking in between a CCI Phantom and an azodin kaos pumpfor my first paintball gun.
A. do cci phantoms come with the red spirng to use HPA
B. which one should i get

i own bout and like phantoms way better.
and you should try some ones pump brfore buying one

Used Trilly or sniper for open class, which I suggest starting pump with.

i have tried pump, i used a ccm i think. a little more high end than what i have money for but it was way fun

what are the spring in the phantom spring kit for, i bought mine used and they came with it

Phantoms and most pumps are set from the factory to use co2, aka ~800psi input, therefore HPA with an 800psi output reg should do just fine.

If you buy directly from Mike at CCI, he will throw in a spring kit with the Phantom. You get it somewhere else, and you probably won't

I am noticing this thread is quite old for a response, but since it's here...
red spring does not come with phantoms... I personally think phantoms are a more adaptable choice for a first pump gun, they can handle stock class pretty well, some would argue top notch if you know what you are doing, and they can also handle open class, maybe not as well as an AKP out of the box or for similar/same prices, but to me a phantom is a more diverse choice because it gives you options, unless you know your whole time owning the gun you are going to play open class, In my opinion (which is merely an opinion) the phantom would be a good choice
akp's are good too, very nice starters for open class
