The gel coat repair would not be a warranty and costs 20.00

The reg repair may be a warranty but we will not know until we can open it up and take a look why the bd popped?

If you ship it on Monday we should get it by Tuesday and ship it to you by Thursday so you have it by Friday but I can't guarantee this due to shipping times during the holiday season.

Let me know if you want to send it in so I can give you an ra#.

Ya... I think I'll get the 50 45 and when I have saved up a little I can get the 68 45 fixed and depending on if I like the 68 or 50 better I can sell the one I don't like for around 130. I still find it strange that this happened to a brand new tank. It wasn't the filling station because other tanks were doing fine.

I just took the bonnet off and everything looks clean. I highly doubt that the cause was dirty air as my 48 3000 steely was fine along with other tanks filled at the same place. The air released really quickly and violently but i don't think it was a burst disk. The piston looks fine. i will put up pics soon

this is the piston in the bonnet. It doesn't looked damage i don't think.

this is the other part and it is completely clean. What could ahve caused this violent release of air. I also have the original chips of gel that fell off. Can i glue them back on because then it would ook good.

Also, would this lube work. It is a lubricant called lubix and according to http://www.lubixcube...x_Cube/FAQ.html it is a high viscosity pure silicone lubricant. It is meant for rubiks cubes which is something i do competitively. If i can use it how much should i use?

Also i got the 1.8k burst disk off and there are three pieces. Can you tell me if it bursted or not?

Do not glue the chip yourself, some places may not fill it because you did it.

Hard to see the end of the piston but if the ball is damaged then it needs to be replaced . You can unscrew the 1.8 burst disk with a box end 3/8 wrench. If the middle is solid copper color then it is good. If it is black in th emiddle it is bad.

If it is bad, replace it. If it is good then lube the piston and reassemble. The lube you list should be fine since it is all silicon.

By middle part you mean the middle washer right? Where do you think the air was rushing out of. I think it was where the bonnet screws onto the reg but i could be wrong. What could have caused this because it happened so randomly. How much lube should i put on the piston?

I also hear that you guys have a location in crystal lake. I live fairly close so could i bring the tank in myself? I have an event in a couple days and it would be much easier than shipping the tank.
