Ok so I've been looking online for a good woods marker. My initial thoughts were to get an SP-1 and if not maybe a BT TM7. I heard That the TM7 feels like a toy so I checked out the TM15 and the MTAC both seem kinda on the heavier side so i decided to look around some more.

The reason I do not want to buy an SP-1 any more is because SMART PARTS is going under and I don't want to take the risk of not having spare parts and rebuild kits. and to be honest I can't decide weather I like woodsball or airball better, in other words i can't afford a gun set up for both.

I remembered that MACDEV had come out with this Tactical Drone modeled after the droid with some other changes. The price is $400 cheaper than the droid why is this and is it a safe buy?

this way i can have a tactical gun for the woods but still up to par with tourny guns.
Thnx is advanced.

Couldn't you just buy a normal speedball gun in black? Because aside from the picatinny rails, that's all the droid is and I can't imagine why you'd want to put a sight on a speedball gun.

The idea was to maybe throw on a gun cam or a bipod just for fun but the real reason is its
$400 cheaper than the droid.

Drone is. Yea it is amazing. It is just like an electro, but has the rails. It is efficient and has some cool firing modes. I would say Droid for one of the best "woods" markers out there.

Well a speedball gun you can play in the woods with no problem, but a woodsball gun it's harder to play speedball with. ya know? like a car and a truck you can drive a truck offroad AND on the street fine, but a car driving offroad isn't so fine. lol

well ya thats my point its just a mix of a droid and cyborg but with rails.

My questions:
is it worth the money?
is it reliable?
is macdev reliable, if the gun has any issues how long does it take for them to reply or fix your gun once sent in?

haha sounds like your a wrecker. once you set your gun the way you like+need it leave it alone. set the trigger to how you like it, keep it in semi, and just make sure the breech is clean after every time you play and then every other time you play clean and lube the gun as your instructions state and then leave it alone and your gun alone, and it shouldn't break. if it does i'd rather sent it to them and have them do a good job than just be quick. this isnt' nascar with 12 second pit stops.

Yes it is worth the money.
I know someone who has it and he absolutely loves it and always uses it, so I would say its reliable.
Sorry don't know too much about Macdev though

Hope that helps

It does look gorgeous. Reminds me of the Grease gun in a way.

I really like the Tactical Drone from what I've seen online. I'm thinking it will be my next marker actually...

Speedball. Definately. The only reason why it's not considered a "speedball" gun is because it has rails.
