Just noticed cracks on the outer coating on empire 4500 carbon fiber tank, does this mean it is trashed or is this normal wear and tear as it is holding air well and has not been leaking. Also, how do you determine the manufacture date to determine if hydrotest is needed?

Post a picture of the tank and I can point out where the date stamp is on your perticular tank.
For example: This Ninja tank was manufactured in February 2012, the 02 @ 12 stamp is the "born" date. It will have to be rehydroed 5 years from that.
