ive always played pump and teched/serviced pump and mech guns... i am by no means an expert, but im no noob to the game... and i dont know much about electric guns, but iv got friends who want me to play on their team... so its time to buy an electro gun... my two choices are either a new GoG eXTCy about $250 i beleive. or i can buy my friends fully working, and in good condition 2010 Pmr with a dye ultralight barrel for $180..... which of these two should i buy? and why..... please dont suggest other guns, as im looking to only spend a max of 250 and these two guns are the easiest for me to procure because of local sales.... also most of my money goes to my pump gun and pump team, so i dont have any interest in super fancy high or mid ends..... just need something with a bit more firepower than my pump.
any help is appreciated and please provide reasons for your decisions
thanks,
-cole

I would go for the proto, they are way better then the GoG markers. My little brother shoots a rail and they are pretty simple and smooth shooters for not a lot of money.

the proto will be more comfortable. they shoot very similar and for 180 you really can't go wrong

I'd say the Rail. I've got the '11 one. I love it. My brother had bad luck with his eXTCy. his was really finicky with lube. Something went wrong every time we went to play.

Rail would be good for that price. But between the two, at least with the 2011 rail, its all preference. I prefer the eXTCy rather than the proto pmr.The 2010 is much better, however, especially at that price.

The 2010 proto rail is a much better choice.

The 2010 pmr is not like the the 2011 pmr. Its more along the lines of a reflex rail.

In 2011 proto used the new rail line to replace the slg as an entry marker and made it cheaper. They also created the new reflex rail to replace the 2010 pmr.

So the 2010 pmr is a mid end gun while the extcy is still somewhat of a low end marker. So take the pmr.
