I have an older Lian Li case (pc-62) and it used to house my old current computer, but it didn't cool enough for my setup (Extreme i7), so I got myself a CM HAF932 and dunno what do with the Lian Li. I thought about doing a budget build in there with a build centered around a 1155 socket. Any other ideas?

Doing a budget build would be a cool idea. Though, for a budget build, I'd do an AMD AM3, because you'll get more price per-performance at a cheaper cost. Just an idea though.

You could also make an server in it. Like a NAS server or movie center in it.

I actually thought about doing that. The AM3 socket is te "newest" somet so it should have some forward compadability. Any ideas on a challenging price cap?

I already have aserver (Dell XPS 720) and don't really need a movie center. I rent all my movies on google movies then watch it either on my table or computer.

Challenging price cap? Like what's a decently priced CPU?

Well if I said 700$ it would be too easy to build a budget PC. A decently prices CPU would probably be an AMD Sempron-Athlonx2 or
Intel lower end i5 or i3.

There's Athalons and Phenoms for the same prices as the dual core i3's and i5's. But it's ultimately your build.
