As said before try lowering your dwell, BUT use a chroney while doing so, keep going lower and lower until your consistancy takes a hit and go back up one and shoot a pod or a stream. Chances are if it's your dwell it should be an easier fix.

An Extcy gets 6.5ish pods off a 68/4500. On your tank that equates to 700 shots, which is about 155 per 1000psi.
Purely theoretical obviously, real world numbers will differ.

I used to own an extcy and that actually sounds about right for the efficiency. It's a spool, it happens. Messing with dwell may or may not make a noticeable difference. But who knows, with your aftermarket bits it probably will. A "ringing" isn't really typical of a leak. Leaks sound very sharp and high pitched normally.
