Can't some fire stations fill up HPA tanks too? Or was that just a myth like Bigfoot or Ben Affleck being good at acting?

Well, there is no bigger myth than Ben Affleck being a good actor. But, I'd call around town and see whose able to fill. Definitely start with scuba shops, fire depts and fire fighter supply companies.

Fire departments have trucks that full to 5k but they don't have the same fittings that a paintball tank uses, my field uses a fire engine compressor and they had to convert the fittings

Fire stations may fill scuba tanks. Often just up to 2500psi (steel tanks.) I used them in the past.

Biggest one to check is for a fire equipment company. If you don't know who does the servicing for businesses in your area, talk to the manager/owner of some of your restaurants. They likely will know which company handles it. They can just look at the service tag on their fire extinguishers. Usually these companies can fill hpa tanks to atleast 3k. If they are too far from your house buy a scuba tank and then have them fill that and you can simply cross fill to your hpa tank. You will get 10-12 fills on a 68 cu in tank before the scuba hits around 1k.
