Hey whats up guys hows it going? Im sitting down here Looking at my NFL Fantasy team and at how terrible im doing at the moment (but that will change!) and I was wondering what would it take to get a Fantasy Paintball team going on and like having a pool with other members of the techpb community and just do something for fun. Or heck once everything is down and we have figured out all the layouts and how its going to work. maybe we can all throw in 5 bux or something put it in a paypal account or somewhere, and at the end of the season who ever wins gets that pot. What do you guys think? You think it could work? Any other ideas? Theres a lot of stuff we can look at when doing this but at the same time its going to be difficult. Let me know what you guys think and maybe we can start something new here that only can be offered on the techpb website. From the members For the members right?

Thats a great idea, but I think more info is needed to play it

Points based upon following

Player elimination (per player)
Player flag pull (per player)
player flag hang (per player
Team Offense (kills pulls and hangs per tournament)
Team deffense (on losing game total kills per tournament)

Anything else?

or anyone with an xbox can throw in Greg Hasting Tournament Paintball and do tournaments there........ but ive never tried "fantasy" sports to idk really

the problem would be the lack of stat keeping. there is no way to keep track or score. so really idk how this couls work although i have thought about it before and it would be a cool idea if someone found a way to do it.

See if the NPPL and PSP would start something like this. If they started it then it'd be easy for them to post the stats and info we need.

Yeah, but the problem is that outs and stuff aren't always relevant. How are you supposed to turn the fact that your front player wouldn't be able to score without the back player laning, even though he may not get any outs.

Plus, there aren't nearly enough players. In the NFL, there's.. What, 32 teams? And there's almost 100 players per team. In the NPPL, there's... 16 teams or so? If that. and each team only has about 10 people on the roster. This would make the need for a BUNCH of leagues, which just wouldn't happen.

Since you can't keep track of stats, you would have to draft teams and keep track of every round/point to have more to keep tally on. A good idea, but would be hard to actually do.

Yeah well even still you can only pick a certain amount of players... It could work but idk if i could get that into it. Bc like with th NFL you can watch your player do good like during gameplay... paintball you would just read the stats after the tourney is done....

Sorry for the double post here but what we could do is have everyone pick their team and then guess what score they think the team will finish the season with. Like adding up each events total score and then who ever guesses the team and the closest to the finishing score would win..... And maybe throw some other technicalities in there to make it so alot of ppl can pick and choose.

I like the idea of this if you can get it set up. As for how many players there are compared to the number of peopl playing, you could just do it like the college football where you choose who you think is going to win... If you can find a way for it to go by players though, you would have my vote.

Hows it going peeps. Sorry I was away on vacation and wasnt at a computer. Ive been reading the comments and it seems like a lot of you so far would like to take this idea to the next step. Over the next couple days ill try and think of ways to get this going some how. Like a few of you were saying its hard to keep track of certain stats that nppl or psp dont really give out. I think of something. Hopefully we can get help from Mike and the team Any other ideas on how to get things started are greatly appreciated.

Whats up guys. Ive been searching for a couple days now, and i think ive come to a conclusion.. THERE ARE NO INDIVIDUAL PLAYER STATS its all stats on teams standings roster things of that sort. How come individual players don't get credit I think it would be awesome to follow individual players you know.. Make stats on Flag pulls or how many players did one individual take out. Ahh this Fantesy Paintball is going to be harder then i thought. Does anybody have any ideas or any websites that include stats for players... If it even exists

I feel that paintball isn't the NFL by any means. The sport just isn't big enough to have something like a Fantasy Paintball team where you can pick and draft players, trade and all that good stuff. Not to mention there isn't really a reliable stat system in paintball that has every individual players Kills, Flag hangs, etc..

Ya i understand that thats why im trying with the help of techpb members to try and get one going some how.. but like you said without the realiable stat system its really hard to get it goingm or else id have the idea rolling right now. I have a lot of ideas for this project its just that main STAT problem is whats killing me!
