Ok... so In my area, if you turn 18 you can go get a license without having had a permit...

My question is, If i were to go get my permit now, when i turn 18 in a couple months, would i be able to go get my license, or would i have to wait the full year?

Thanks

-Rob

yes, if you are 18, you can just go take the driving test and get it without having your permit.

Up here in NY a 16yr old can get a permit, and is only required to have a certain amount of driving time via night and day, somewhere between 100-200hrs. No actual waiting time for liscense although you do have to schedule for the driving test which is usually a 2week wait. In the mean time you are required to take the 8hr course before you can take your driving test.

yep, you can get it if you had your permit for 3 years or 3 days. you just have to be 18 or have it for a year, whichever comes first.

My sig was edited because it was not within the rules. Images used in signatures are to be less then Width of 600px, and height of 160px. Only ONE image is aloud in the signature, and it must be 30k or less. Only 5 lines of text are aloud. No text larger then size 2 is aloud in the signature.
