Well if you are looking for some decent woodsball there is SplatterPark in Mt. Gilead about 1hr 45 min away from Lima.
I have played there many, many times and have had no issues. Refs are great. The field owner Sean is awesome too.
The one downside is that they have just one speedball field and it's nothing special haha.

Also in Indiana there is Paintball Plex

Now I have not been there before but from what I have read it looks like a great place to play. And it would be closer to you (about 1 hr 30 min)

(and from a fellow college student if you ever go to either let me know I'd be glad to meet and play with a fellow TechPb'er haha)

Unfortunately there aren't really any good fields that are really close to you. If you're willing to drive south, there is I70 paintball in Huber Heights and further than that is Blast Zone in Middletown and Paintball Country in Cincinnati. I know they are scattered all over the state, but those are the big ones in southwest Ohio, which is the area I live in.

Im just getting back into the sport myself, and it seems there were quite a few more fields in the state back when I was playing heavily. Its a shame that it seems paintball is in a rough spot at the moment.

Just out of curiosity. Does Toledo Indoor paintball still exist. Possibly under a different name? I used to really enjoy the tournaments there and at Great Lakes Paintball.

yeah, quite a few fields have gone under in my area alone. Last I heard there was still an indoor field in Toledo, also being the only good one around, but I've never been up that way to know for sure.

Im lucky that I live within a decent distance of splatterpark. I heard they got rid of the mounds field though! That really sucks. I loved that field.

My favorite place to play back in the day was a place called Blackhawk. It was in the northeast part of the state. Not too far from Wooster I believe. This was back when speedball was pallets at 90 degree angles mind you. It was a bit backwoods for todays standards, but that place was a blast.

The toledo indoor is not going to be open this winter. But, if youre willing to travel, the best place in ohio to play if your looking for speedball is Xcape. Best competition in ohio for sure

Near Lima.. not really... You're going to have to drive a ways to a field to play at.

Speedball:
Paintball Plex in Indiana (Indoor as well)
TPA Paintball in northeast Ohio
Xcape in southern Ohio

That's really it for speedball nearby. Sadly Warzone in Toledo is no longer open for speedball, if you like just recball I think they still do that. You'd have to call. It is indoor and outdoor and close to Lima)

Woodsball:
Splatterpark, a little northeast of Columbus (believe they are closed for the winter season now)

My in-laws live in Fort Wayne so I get to play at thePaintball Plex a couple times a year. It is a well run field/store(trademygun.com) and probably the cleanest field I have played at. Nice fieldand facilities. I have only one complaint and that is the indoor field is dimlylit. If you are a person like me who is used to playing outside, you will forsure have to adjust. No smoke lens here! lol

Not true. I hated that song. Linkin park was so much better back in the 90s.
