I just wanted to know if the g5 did get some major upgrades. The price of the g5 is 100 dollars more and i just wanted to know if it was worth it.

dangerous power makes some solid guns. my friend has an fx and my brother has a g4 both work amazing and have never given either of them issues. go for the g5 because it's macroless

They just fixed some minor problems. The G series is not a great series of markers.

The G5 is macroless which eliminates the shitty fittings. It also has a slightly redesigned bolt which is supposed to eliminate bolt stick and boost effeciency.

The G series of markers arent really that good. They have nice advertising and pictures, and come with pretty great triggers, but the engine kinda sucks a chode. It is loud and kicky for the most part, and not even efficient. The G5 fixed the leaking issues with the G4 by making it macroless, and they 'redesigned' the bolt to add more holes on the front. But those still dont make up for its shitty shot quality.

The g series isn't plagued by the sound they had some bad leaking issues in the g3/4 series the reason you may call them loud is because you probably haven't herd a fine tune one. My friend has a g3 and it isn't the quietest marker around but it isn't as bad as you make it seem. Once tuned they shoot like any other mid end gun. The kick is there but its not near as bad as some markers in that price range (etek). It's a solid gun if you are lucky and get a good one and take care of it. Since it is a mid end most people who own it don't take care of it like a spoolie should, as it is usually someones first marker or first spoolie and don't care much about maintenance.

DP isn't that bad, people just don't know how to take care of their stuff.

Also, stock DP barrels have like no fucking porting, hence the almost etek level sound signature. Throw an ultralight on there and they hush up pretty well.

Or a Disruptive Barrel on it. Much less pricey, still awesome quality.
