What do you guys think? Will teams start using .50 cal or stay with the .68?

Why change? I haven't given it a lot of thought, but I can't come up with a real benefit for changing formats like that. A .50 cal vs. a .68 cal, sure, the .50 cal has an advantage. But if everyone was shooting .50 cal, the advantage is lost, and it's back to where you started.
So why change what is effectively an arbitrarily chosen ball size? It's pointless.

Its not an arbitrarily chosen size. Physics dictates that .68 is superior to .50 in all but suppressive fire capabilties.

Yes, but if everybody has to use it, it doesn't matter if it's inferior to a .68 cal or not.

its plain economics, two product can actually coexist. Is a consumer based society its just an other option like having multiple barrels the set standards won change but you may see :50 cal circuts opening where people well allow both its a matter of choice and the ability choose. It will not "take over" but it does have aplace in the market

Why would everyone accept being forced to use an inadequate product? They won't. .50 cal and First Strike are two niche markets that will not become more used than .68 cal.

I agree that both .50 and FS will have there own games but NPPL and PSP will stay .68 and it would cost way to much for a major overhaul of the rules (don't know why but there's always some new rule with every little change) and all the guns and tactics and factories and god knows what else. I doubt it will take over.
