Currently, I have a steelie but i've been considering buying a carbon fiber tank, is it a good investment, and will it be more enjoyable to play with?

depending on the size it will be lighter anf hold more air so you can spend more time on the field playing rather than filling your tank

Weight is about the same but capacity doubles from a 48/3000 to 68/4500. If your field only fills to 3k then you get a bit more air and a lighter tank.

I was thinking about getting a 48/45 or a 50/45, do you guys have any recommendations? (I definitely want a small tank).

I find a carbon fibre tank much more comfortable to play with for a variety of reasons:
- it balances the gun weight out, as where with steelie's more of the weight tends to be towards the back of the marker
- the back of carbon fibre tanks (68/4500's and 48/4500's etc.) are rounded therefore they are much more comfortable to shoulder (sounds stupid but it does make a real difference)
- they have a higher capacity then steelie's, this of course depends which sizes you are comparing... although if what you currently have is a 48/3000 then almost every carbon fibre tanks regardless of the size will hold more since they hold 4500 psi instead of just 3000 psi.
Setup - MacDev Cyborg RX, White Virtue Spire, Pure Energy 68/4500

Seems like they are a lot better, but do you guys recommend any brands? I don't know the difference between the brands, and I really want to get a good tank. :D

Ninja is the best due to them having user adjustable and serviceable regulators.

All the bottles are the same, it is the regulator that makes it worth it. My vote is to dish out the cash and get a Ninja Pro regulator on your size tank.

Ninja is the most recommended and not without good reason. Solid company and fail to disappoint.

Alright, so I should look past the price tag for the ninja tank?

Yes if it is for the Ninja Pro adjustable one.

You would be keeping it for 5 years so it is worth it.

I own a 50/45 and I love it! I started with a 48/3000 and moved up to my cf tank! Its considerably lighter and hold more air! Definitely worth it if you want to get more competitive in paintball.
Don't hate on my G4!
Current Setup:
Empire Axe in Gun Metal Grey
Dye Rotor
Ninja 50/4500

good products, but the gains dont justify the cost to me.
you can get other tanks for $115 new. i've never once needed to have my regulator serviced or felt the need to adjust the pressures, so for me, ninja tanks arent worth it.
