Hey everyone, I just got my new G3 today (SWEET) I am wondering if I should pick up a certain brand of oil to use on the marker... Or can i just run down to Sports Authority and pick up a bottle in the paintball section for $4?

I don't think the G3 needs oil, are you talking about Lube?

DP-40 is the recommended lube by DP. You can use whatever lube you prefer.

You'd probably want to use DP40 or a Dow33 (Shocker/Sl33k, Mac Dev Militia, PE Gun Lube) on the G3.

I never suggest buying specific paintball lube - you're spending more cash on packaging than the material. you can get Dow 33 at Grainger or a hardware store in big tubes that'll last forever and for much cheaper than branded paintball products.

Sl33k is repackaged Dow33. The majority of the thinner greases such as hatersauce are usually a Dow33/Oil mixture. If you look in your manual, it recommends mixing Dow33 and paintball oil. Something like hatersauce would be ideal for the G3. Personally I save a lot of money on lube by mixing Dow33 from a 5 oz tube and ER marker oil.

Just go with whatever DP recommends.

I own a G3 and I don't even know what that is. :P I got some Sleek for free so I am just using that.
