Also, another good thing about the vikes and excals is that dan

Well, you are definitely looking at the best when you talk about AKA. Although the Excals are a bit slower than the Viking, they are still some of the best stuff out there. When it comes to ease of maintainance, you just put a couple of drops of AKA lube into the ASA, air it up, dry fire it a couple of shots, and you are good to go. There is nothing else to really do. Well, other than take apart the reg about once a year and clean it and relube it. And the ram cartridge, but you will need a specific tool to remove it, and some knowledge on how to do that. Best to have DC do it then. But honestly, I have not had to do it, simply keep up on the lube.
Should you upgrade to a 2Liter? Well, the Sidewinder is one of the best regs out there. There is only one other reg out there that I think is better than the Sidewinder that is not made my AKA. And even then, only barely. The 2Liter is the top of the line reg out there. Period. Nothing beats it. Can you actually shoot faster than 20 BPS? I mean, seriously shoot that fast. Not many fields would allow you to shoot that fast with ramping or full auto. So unless you can actually hit 20+ BPS in semi, then there is no real need to get the 2Liter.
As to the marker, that is debatable. I can tell you that I traded for an 03 Viking back in like 2005 or so. It came with an upgraded trigger, SCM (Soda Can [Mod?]) LPR and Mighty Max volumiser. I sent it off to DC for FSP milling, all of the other diet milling, and anno. That came to around $630 or so. I added in a Tadao board, and it has rocked just fine ever since.
If you are looking for a bit of a deal, you can always peice meal, it so speak. I am selling a pretty much brand new 02 Viking that has been used four times. Not four cases of paint, only used four times. I have some of the very rare 02/03 eye covers (Since it blind), and a WAS board that I am adding to it. PM me if you want pics and futher specs. For what I am asking, you have more than enough money for it, and you can get a chance to play with it before you send it to DC for work.
