Best mask for shouldering Mil-Sim markers and looking down sights

As of now i have Dye-i4s and they are awful at shouldering my BT-4 Omega. I can't look down the sights properly, and i will be upgrading to a Project salvo with Q-Loader in the coming year (maybe with a red dot). I'm wondering what the BEST mask for shouldering a rifle and looking down sights is thanks has the same quality as an i4. Thanks!

i think the air soft guys like flex7s for this reason.

"sights on paintball guns are silly" comments are silly in the Scenario, MilSim and Woodsball Talk sub-forum :P

To the O.P. A lot of folks use picatinny risers or, adjustable picatinny risers (made by Killjoy or, Tiberius). The Flex 7 (and not the flex 8s) would be a good mask, another one worth checking out would be the Empire E-Flex since it has a soft flexible lower made of the same or similar material of the Flex 7.

I would think the i4's would be best since mine sit right right on my face o.o

vforce grillz have a soft rubbery material that work well on sights.

A lot of people like the proflexes, or Flex 7, for sighting purposes, and I'm not too sure about the E flex because the bottoms curve in a bit compared to the proflex which is flared out, which helps get the stock under the mask to get down on the gun.

If you don't want to buy a new mask, simply put a riser on your current marker, that is the trend with a lot of manufacturers at the moment.

A project salvo has a folding stock. Why not just fold it when your playing?
If I didn't buy so many guns for the sole purpose of fondling them i'd be a very rich man.

Am I the only one that when they see FEP QUEST they read it as FAP-QUEST then chuckle silently?

I use and Empire E-flex and it works great when looking down the marker. Although I would agree sites are kinda pointless.

I say E-Flex or I4's. I use I4's from a friend for when he decides to "make me feel combat realistically" and takes me out to play airsoft at the field. E-Flex's are great for it, due to the flexibility of the bottoms forms around the stocks and whatnot, and the I4's are great because they're so small it's like you don't even have a mask. You can also use a riser for sights, which should help immensely

However: Sights in paintball are silly.

Perhaps change your stock? Stocks with straight ends are impossible to shoulder while wearing a mask (Like the M4/M16 style). Get something like a SAW stock or a Dog leg stock.

I have no problem sighting my KP3 or my 'Mag with my i4's.

^This. I built a milsim gun for my dad- he's in the military and used to that style of aiming/moving, but the mask would hit the gun. I put a two-step rise on there and it worked perfectly- and looked kinda bad-ass B) Most sites and military surplus places carry them. Just make sure it works around your hopper before you buy a ton of parts! Also, you can angle it at a 45 degree off the gun, so it's in-between top and side. Will give a nice compromise, fit around the hopper and still have the feel you're looking for. Good luck and have fun! :tup:
