I tried the loader method, no dice. There seems to be a red sealant showing a bit, but after removing the body plugs to fix a leak, I'd hope it's the same strength material, and not the permanent thread locker.

Has anyone removed their Quest's feedneck? Any advice?

Alright, kiddo.
What it is, is basically red loctite, or it's generic equivalent. Take out the eyes, detents, and whatever else lies within the breech, and try a piece of rubber wrapped around
the body, and heat it up with a butane torch, and then try the loader method again with a Vlocity. I tried the loader method with my Halo and it didn't work. However
the Vlocity hit the nail on the head.

Try sending Bronc a PM. Why are you removing the feedneck? Installing the Critical one? B)

I heated it up with a hair dryer, then put a thin but long allen key in between the slots in the feedneck (you have to take the collar off first).

This gave me a nice lever to use, and you will never notice the marks on the inside of the feedneck fingers.

The quest feednecks all have red loctite on them you either have to use brute force or heat it up to break down the loctite. the blow Torch will work just be careful not to put the direct flame on anything, you can also just stick a piece of metal in between the rigids of the feedneck without the collar and twist we bent an old evil pimp frame to remove feednecks with ease.
