This is a common problem with just about every marker (except for eclipse guns with the deftek feedneck system). Whats happening is when you are running your hopper dry, there is no tension on the ball stack. The paintballs are getting forced down and then bouncing back up slightly causing your bolt to chop them. What you need to to is increase your Eye Delay (ball in place) setting on your markers board. You can also decrease the loader tension to help prevent this some, but the bigger problem lies in your delay settings.
